Sickness: Define it God’s Way Alone

Jesus warned us that the time of the end would be filled with deception. One way the evil one has deceived a great many, including in the church, is through redefinitions that many be deceived into calling what is “evil good and good evil” (Isaiah 5:20).

The liar’s devices of deception have led many into embracing his evil works and ways instead of taking authority over them that they be cast out and destroyed in Jesus’ name.

Grievously, the father of lies has imprisoned many of God’s people in his chains of oppression through the redefining sickness, disease, disorder, disabilities, and defects that affect one’s health – body and soul (mind, will, emotions).

A great many of God’s sons and daughters have fallen for the enemy’s lies due to…

–A great lack of knowledge of God’s Word (Hosea 4:6).

–Following “Christian” denominations and pastors, “the arm of flesh,” who reject Christ’s healing, say healing isn’t always God’s will, and/or redefine sickness (a form of death) as a blessing.

Because we are living in those foreseen times of great deception, I make it a point to look to the Word of God to discover how He alone defines a thing. Therefore, I can know His truth and will on the matter, and stay armed and ready with the weapon of the Word.

Then, if the enemy comes with his lies about sickness and healing, I can say, “Healing is written! By His wounds, we were healed. Get from me devil with your lies and accusations against my Lord in the name of Jesus!”

“Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked one,” (Ephesians 6:16).

It’s our Father’s will that we stay equipped and armed with His truth that we quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked one. Glory to God!

Let the Word alone be the Lamp unto your feet, the Light unto your path that defines sickness!

If we ask the Lord for wisdom and do not doubt, He will give us wisdom and abundantly so, leading us to His truth that sets free.

When I ask Him for wisdom, I expect my prayerful time in the Word to be interactive, not one sided. How the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Great Teacher, often leads me is through simple questions and bringing verses to my remembrance.

How did sickness enter the earth?

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned,” (Romans 5:12). Therefore sickness is a form of death that entered through sin because there was no sickness, corruption, birth defects, disabilities, and disorders before the fall.

Can sickness, a form of death, or anything which entered the earth through sin be defined by God as a blessing?

No! So if a pastor, ministry, or fellow believer comes saying any sickness, disease, disorder, mental affliction/captivity/arrested development, birth defect, genetic disorder/defect, disability, etc. are defined by God as a blessing in any way, know they’ve fallen for the enemy’s deception of sickness redefined and are calling what is an evil, oppressive, binding work of the devil good (Acts 10:38; Luke 13:16).

Death = bad; of the devil.

Life = good; of God; made possible by Christ alone.

Is sickness EVER defined in the Word of God as good or a blessing?

Never! It was part of the curse of the law for disobedience (Deuteronomy 28:15-68) NOT a part of the blessings for obedience (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). Nothing defined by God as a curse can be defined as a blessing. “What communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Glory to God, in Christ, all our sins debts have been paid in full by Jesus Christ who also redeemed us or bought us out ENTIRELY from the curse of the law! (Galatians 3:13-14).

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith,” (Galatians 3:13-14).

In Christ, faith in Jesus Christ as the Resurrected Lord and Savior is now our pleasing obedience and righteousness to God. No wonder He calls it Good News!

Is bodily healing and deliverance included in the atonement?

Yes! “Surely He has borne our sicknesses and and carried our pains; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed,” (Isaiah 53:4-5).

Didn’t Christ command the church to heal the sick?

Yes, glory to God! “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give,” (Matthew 10:8); Jesus Christ’s Great Commission to the Church: “Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen,” (Matthew 28:16-20).

Finally, I enjoy writing in my Bible study notes definitions God’s way just like we’d see in a dictionary that His will on things are plain upon the tablets.

sickness (noun) – a form of death; entered the world through sin; part of the curse of the old covenant law which Christ redeemed us from; a work of the devil and oppression of the devil; evil; bad; not nor ever defined by God as a blessing; intended by God for the church to heal and deliver people from as commanded by Jesus’ Great Commission.

The next time to evil one comes with his fiery darts attacking God’s Word as false and redefining sickness, be armed and ready with the truth of the Word:

Healing is written! Jesus is NOT the robber of health, you liar. You are! I put my foot down and say no! I refuse to embrace your chains and oppression in my body and soul.

Jesus, my Lord and Savior, came to give me life and life more abundantly. He hates sin and everything it brought forth in the earth. I refuse your perverted redefinitions of God, His Holy Word, and character! Get from me now! By His wounds, I was healed in the name of Jesus, amen!
